Hosting An Open House
While more serious buyers usually want a private tour of the home with an agent, hosting an open house can kick start interest in your home. Hosting an open house is easy and is one of the few things you can confidently do on your own with the tools we provide you.
The first week the property is on the market, just open your house on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, from 1 - 3. Place an open house sign in your front lawn and directional signage leading interested parties from a busy street to your doorstep. Of course, you should have your home cleaned and staged. Put away your valuables and bake some cookies to help your home smell like home. Set out some fliers, which we'll provide you, on the dining room table; remove fliers from the yard-sign flier box so that people will come inside. You may also want to leave a guest-book for people to sign so we can follow-up later.
We'll promote the open house on the REALTOR'S® MLS, and you can advertise additionaly, if desired, in newspapers or other media. Our open house kit provides you with all the in's-and-out's as well as supplies you will need to host a successful open house.
